She's coming home this Friday!!!

My truck is finished being painted, color sanded, and buffed. We have been waiting for the new Chrome window assembles and it seems that all the suppliers are back ordered until the middle of August. I have decided to bring the truck home and do all the "putting back together" myself. At this point, I am just going to take it slow and go ahead and the the auto tranny swap along with an auto tilt. An awesome drop is needed too...so I will do that as well. Dynamat needs doing, gas tank relocation yes...so l'll have something to do...I should have it all ready by next spring. What auto Tranny should I put in??? 700R4, th400, th350??? Opinions please. Just in case you missed the pic before...here is my new painted baby!

Sure looks great. Makes sense to get it home and start doing the little stuff. I'm almost at that point too.

I vote for the 700R4. If you're just gonna cruise it with the occasional romping here and there, it's great. I have a 3.73 posi and wish I had 4.10's. It's a very simple swap also. Truck looks great..........Jerry

Sweet truck
700 has my vote if your going to cruise it mostly with hwy trave. 3.73 to keep the load off of it and a BIG tranny cooler.

If your going to be drag racing then TH400 for durability with high HP.
