I used a complete square body front end and used the engine perches too. I cut the tops off and welded a plate onto them cause there is a gap between them and the frame that would need a spacer. The motor mounts are stock replacement with dirty dingo adapter plates

That's a lot of air gap. REALLY control your heat so it doesn't shrink too much when final welding. Tack, planish, grind it, then do the next tack.

Exactly.... i had to do 1/2 this amount and it was a pain in the butt, very time consuming.. but worth it in the end....
