power steering box return line
Can anyone confirm or identify this power steering gear box return line as being from a 1973 and up truck? I know at some point GM stopped using the flared end. Does anyone know what year the flared end stopped being used?
Thanks, Mark |

Re: power steering box return line
around 1979. I had a thread on this about a month ago under rebuilt steering box. I know the 1983 had metric threads and 1978 had American. One had flare end and had o ring ends.

Re: power steering box return line
79 last yr. In 80 the box is metric with the O-ring and flair. For the most part but may be some carry overs.

RON350, I believe these lines look like your picture. What do you think?

Re: power steering box return line
Yes those look like the one on my 75 should take a 5/8 inch wrench.

Re: power steering box return line
I cleaned up the flats on the nuts from wrench slippage and checked them with a wrench to make sure they were OK, one was a 5/8 and one was an 11/16. Thanks for your help with this!
