Re: Model T haven liquidation Iola Ks (AD and TF stuff)

Their business was selling used model T parts. A lot of that probably is pieces that were damaged beyond repair that most likely should have been hauled for scrap years ago. Probably saved because they might get a buck or two out of a piece as a patch panel donor when it should have been loaded up and hauled when scrap prices were high.

Most of that stuff will probably be sold as "your pick" or by the whole lot. Bid what you will pay for your pick of say the wood spoke wheels, pull out the number you want and put them in your pile and it gets marked down and either other guys can get what they want for what you bid or bidding starts over until they sell what's left as a lot.

A lot of that I figure they have sections marked off and you bid the section.
What people don't buy at the auction or take from the pile they bid on the scrapper gets.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

nope.

its sundgren, so what will happen is they will spend 6 hours selling stuff no one came there for, pots and pans, broken chairs. hawking it for 10 minutes trying to get the bid over a couple cents. then, after everyone has lost their patience and most real bidders have left, they will walk up to a pile and sell "choice", meaning you bid until you win then pick off the pile. if its a pair you pay twice.

it will take all of both days till the sun is down to sell all that stuff that way. Been there 3 times this year, now i just avoid the sundgren auctions.
