Breaking Paint lines on 67 two-tone (again)

Hello Folks I asked this question a few weeks ago and got some great answers. Today I just wanted to ask it from a different point of view: rom the roof of the cab looking down on it.
1) The first photo shows yellow tape in the middle of the gutter. Do I break the paint in the middle of the gutter? If I painted with the tape in this position both sides fo the drip rail would be the cab color. I am not sure if this is what I want to do.
2) The next photo shows the yellow tape right up against the top of the gutter. Is this what I should do if I paint the white roof first and then tape the roof off to shoot the cab color second? This would leave the cab color on just the outside face of the drip rail.
3) If someone could post a photo of the front of the roof of their 67 cab that would help a lot.
Thanks for your thoughts and advice.

Re: Breaking Paint lines on 67 two-tone (again)

I appreciate the offer from folks who want to send me photos of 68-72 truck cabs but those years did not paint the two tones the way they were done in 67. 1967 had a unique way of painting tow-tone with white roof whereby just the roof itself was white-- not the door tops or A pillars. So if you have an original 67 tow tone roof top I would love to see it especially on the top front edge as you see in the above photos. Thanks, george

I did look but was unable to answer your question directly. I would consider running it up the side so the paint seam wasn't in the trough. Might be slightly better at keeping the rust out without the seam at the bottom?

The roof and gutter are painted white. The front face of the gutter will b painted the body color. Your paint break line is the top of the gutter.

In the build section, look for 1 titled “skidmores 67 c20.” Look at post 17.156.159. U will see before and after photos of these paint lines. He shows the roof n different angles and close ups that u are looking 4.

WoW! I did what you said and those photos answered all my questions. And oddly enough my truck is the exact same color. PROBLEM SOLVED!
