Need measurement for clutch rod hole in firewall ‘67 C10
I just dropped a 67 GMC cab onto my 67C 10 chassis and found the first difference: The 67 GMC had a V6 NP435 4 speed and it appears the hole in the firewall for the clutch rod is in a different location than the Chevy. The second picture posted is of a 71 Chevy cab which I think is a little bit different than the 67 Chevy. Would one of you guys be able to get a measurement of the hole placement on a 67 Chevy cab?

I think you blue cab shows the correct clutch rod hole. In my photo I am pointing to the hole.

Re: Need measurement for clutch rod hole in firewall ‘67 C10
The 71 cab “ bumps out“ The area of the clutch rod hole larger to the right side of the vehicle. I looked at a complete 71 I have and the clutch rod has a dog leg to match that slightly different hole. My 67 uses a straight rod coming through the firewall. The red cab you took a picture of looks like the same firewall forming as my 67. Do you know what year that cab is?

Refer to Grumpy's photo since his is truly a 67 and there are some differences in location due to the shape of the clutch rod.

Here's a photo I took a couple of months ago of a 67 Chevy that had an SBC and an SM420.

OK, out in the garage now. Georgie and grumpy‘s firewalls look identical to mine. Could I get one of you to take a measurement of the diameter of the hole and an East West measurement to the lip of the firewall and north-south to the centerline of the master cylinder stud?

The clutch rod hole is egg shaped as is the boot so a general measurement will just get you close , If you need a pattern made I can make one and mail it to you ?
