Is that an original dark over medium blue truck? Pretty cool scheme. I intend to get the 557 medium over dark olive put back on my truck.

Yes it is, when I bought it, it had been repainted all medium blue.

Awesome stuff, that is an uncommon scheme. I’m glad you went back original.

Thank You, I wish it was Dk. Blue/Md. Blue/Dk. Blue but it wasn't. It will still look nice the way it came from the factory.

Re: What’s happening out there...

We're still coming along on the '72 K20 build ... body work is never ending but getting closer. Got the paint a few days ago & that's incentive to keep working on it!
In the mean time, our K30 "Big Nassy" can scratch most any 4wd itch!

It is - Thanks!

Where Did you get the dark olive from? I need to start making plans for when I’m ready to paint mine.

This last week I worked a bit on getting my front 60 buttoned back up. I’ll take some pictures tomorrow.

I'm replacing badly worn out springs, but it's a slow progression due to front spring hangers also needing to be replaced.

Nice work!
Here’s some progress on the 60 I’m building for my K20. It’s just mocked up for now, need to finish some paint and get lug studs next.

Re: What’s happening out there...

Got mine done other than one upper bed molding. Four out of five that I bought have been damaged. Still looking for a straight molding. Waiting for LineX to get color in, going to do it in Medium Blue.

Wow! Only 4 trucks separate my '72 shortbox from your glove box door on the Baltimore assembly line. Cool!

Here is my 71 Super.
Very nice one!

Not much going on here lately. But I do have a new look for a while on my medium classic '95 Suburban. I swapped these 8" wheels with 285/75-16 Goodyears on until I get the 7" Accurides painted that I normally run. I like the retro look with the wheels white. I was going to change from Charcoal (matched grille) to argent (like factory wheels) but might end up with white, now that I see how they'd look

Re: What’s happening out there...

Looking good Tim, I like the 8” setup a lot.
I really haven’t done much over the late spring, summer, and fall to my truck. Although I did for the second time in a year have to replace the ring terminal on the 12v stud at the back of the alternator. The ammeter hadn’t been working since I brought it back home in June of 2020. I suspected a bad battery, that is until I drove it at night and the lights were super dim. Then I suspected a bad alternator. So I pulled the hot wire off the alternator just checking things out. Sure enough damn ring terminal broke internally. Fixed that and the blown fuse on the alternator side of the ammeter wiring. Wala battery still holds a charge and the ammeter works now
