Anyone running the standard linkage? I have a 63 C20, 292, 4-speed. The clutch fork has two positions for the rod coming from the pedal, and it looks like it could fall out of place.

I was thinking of using some safety wire to make sure I don't lose any parts. Anyone else done this?

you need a clutch fork return spring that goes from the tip to the frame.

Hey guys, I’m going through the “where in the hell does the clutch return spring go” also. I don’t think Bubba had mine hooked up correctly. I have a larger diameter shorter in length spring and no other spring. When I purchased a new clutch return spring for a 1966 c10 I only saw the larger diameter shorter length spring. I guess I will install the spring that I bought between the clutch fork arm and the linkage plate that holds the other end of the clutch adjustment rod.

My clutch is set up with the push rod on the outboard hole. I figured it would give me more leverage that way for my leg. Did 6 cylinders use the inboard hole and wouldn't that decrease leverage at the pedal?

An interesting topic. I Can see by the picture where it hooks to the fork, but what about the other end. I made an attachment point on the frame for mine, but would like to see where the factory hooked it.

there is a notch or hole forward on the frame where the spring hooks into.

anybody know why there is two notches on the throw-out bearing fork?

I had half of that same spring above left hanging on the frame of my 63 when I got it. Of course, I took it off 6 years ago and don't remember where it was hooked into
