ready for reassembly

rust where t.gate hinges bolt on
a couple years back when I took tailgate hinges off my bedsides as I turned the bolt heads I spun the rotten metal off with the bolts. Needless to say they're pretty rough in that spot. Has anyone ever replaced the metal there and how difficult was it. I would post some pics, but the truck is 2 hours away right now, so i'll try and take some tomorrow. Thanks
