Old pics huh? I wish Firestone still made those Indy 500 tires.

Not old pics. Just put those Indy 500s on in May. Got em from PriorityTire.com. Just looked, they got em 275 60R15 white letters for $143 each. I’m happy with my order from them.

Blue Boy still belongs to my 80 year old dad. People tell me all the time they saw him cruising aound town at that "old man speed".......lettin them Flowmasters sound off. He makes his daily trip to McDonalds for breakfast with his old buddies, then maybe by the grocery store or he might cruise downtown by the donut shop. Blue Boy gets around.

My feelings exactly, my coopers are 'in' mainly because they are not premium tires. But I really like them, 255's.

Re: Cooper Cobra - White letters in or out? (Poll)

I am getting back into having the raised white letters out. My 2 latest trucks (70 C10 & 06 Nissan) have them out, while my square has them in. I think it depends on the wheel combo on what looks best. With black wheels, like my 81, I do not think it would look as good with the white letters out. Now if I had white wheels, that would be different story

Yes, 8" all around. Tires are 255/60/15. I used Western Chassis 2.5" spindles so there is no rubbing.

Perfect. I've got the same spindles in my Summit cart. Did you you use a flip kit, c-notch and cut your stock coils?

I did use a flip kit. Didn't have to c-notch it. There is 3" of clearance between the frame and the axle. I have HD springs so even when hauling 700 pounds it doesn't hit the frame. The front sprigs have one coil cut off. That plus the spindles gave me the drop I was looking for.

Re: Cooper Cobra - White letters in or out? (Poll)

Went with white letters out. Just in time to park it for the winter!
They look a little out of place at the stock ride height but I'm looking forward to the 4/6 or 5/7 drop.

Mine was the same way. Looked like a 4x4 at stock height.
