1986-91 Dually suspension parts, wheels, springs etc

Stripped down a 1986 Chevy 3500 one ton dually. I have the complete front suspension, springs, spindles, control arms, tie rods, cross bar, idlers, (6)wheels, rear axle, springs etc. (fits up to about 1991?)

Will do some trading for a NV3500 (5 sp tranny) or late model 305 or 350 (with one piece rear seal)

thanks

Ed

ziptow@yahoo.com

To meet board requirements how about $450 or B/O for the entire package... I don't need the parts any longer ...so trades are my option..."big block" or small block. (Buffalo, NY)

CREW

I had the same idea that's why I picked up the rolling chassis originally. Was even looking at the idea of putting them in a full size Blazer..

I used to drive to Columbia, MO each year for a national handgun competition.

If the parts don't go anywhere soon they will be inside a dry barn.

Ed- we might have to work something out.....Send me any more info you have ...( gear ratio, wheel size [ 16" vs. 16.5" ], general condition of the rotors etc, ) I am hoping to have the Crew cab back home in a couple of weeks, so I will be looking to start my dually conversion shortly after.

I might have to make a trip up to Buffalo....

33Chev; It fits up to and including a 1991. 88-91 1 tons and Suburbans? kept the older style body and suspension components.

What ratio is the rear axle. I am assuming that it is a 10 bolt with full floating axles. That is what is in my '86 GMC 3500 CCDually.

I need a 4:56. I have a 4:10

I have a friend that goes to the Buffalo/Lancaster area on a semi regular basis.

Thanks, Gary

CCDually

The (6) wheels for this dually package are 16", but if someone wants (don't why) I have new 16.5" duallly wheels.

The axle has a 10 bolt cover, the numbers stamped are: GBW G 1331...out of an 86 with manual tranny.

The rotors are obviously rusted and I just learned that my brother took one of the rear brake drums. He has an 89 Chevy dually with factory 12' flatbed that he is selling for $3000 w/new tires and Mr. Goodwrench 350 (TBI) in front of a TH400.

Send me an e-mail at: ziptow@yahoo.com and I'll give you a 800 number

thanks for the interest.

Just me but why would a 3500 (1ton) have a 10 bolt and not a 14 bolt FF?

Just checked again...it has 14 bolts on the cover (not 10 or 12).

Dually rear

If that truck is a true "dually" (i.e. came with a 8' bed) it is neither a 14 bolt or 10 bolt. It is a Dana 70. If it was a cab and chassis truck it is then a corporate 14 bolt.

I have a 454 I would be willing to trade for the rear end and wheels and tires.
E-mail me if you are interested and we'll see if we can work out something.

The 1 ton Crew Cab Duallys have a Dana 70 rear end. It has a ten(10) bolt cover verses the corporate 14 bolt cover that looks very similar if you didn't know the difference. The overall shape is similar, but not the same. The 10 bolt Dana is a full floating axle setup. I am not sure about the 14 bolt one. The 14 bolt corporate rear end in my '91 Suburban is a full floater. The Dana that is in a 1 ton is also thicker from the back cover surface to the pinion flange surface

The question "is it a 10 bolt or 14 bolt" is easy for a novice to figure out.
Which answer you give tells me what rear end is in the truck.
10 bolt= Big Dana
14 bolt= Corporate

A 10 or 12 bolt type rear end from a car or little truck, can't be confused with a Dana because the shape is very different.

Just my .02

Thats the first thing I thought of when I read 10 bolt thinking 10 bolt 8.5 rear
