Kodiak and Topkick Factory pics
I wasn't sure where to post this so I will post it here.
This photo was taken in the year 1990 the plant was in Pontiac Michigan. I cannot confirm or deny that these were medium-duty cabs but that yellow one sure looks like it's going to be a Schwan's truck to me. Maybe the first batch of medium duties were built in Pontiac? I thought they were built in Janesville. Plus the bolt holes in the doors sure tell me that they're going to be medium duty's |

Re: Kodiak and Topkick Factory pics
It is true all the GMT-530 mediums were built at Janesville (outside of a few built in Silao for the Mexican market). Pontiac East was retooled in 1987 to build GMT-400 light trucks. Maybe Pontiac East built a few cabs for GMT-530 pilot production?

Re: Kodiak and Topkick Factory pics
It's cool to see the special paint as well as fleet colors all in a group. Interesting to see a white top painted. We have a roads contractor with trucks painted that way, even his machinery.
