Yes that is correct. It’s called the first/reverse lever and it’s the larger diameter one of the two. If I’m reading the parts catalog correctly, as long as the rod you have came from a 76 model that was originally equipped with a V8, it should work! If it was originally a 76 with a 6 cylinder then it looks like it may be a different part number.

I haven’t forgotten you, just haven’t had time to go to my other place and look as I have been tending to my wife who has pneumonia. Should be able to get away to check in a day or two, as she finally starting to turn to the better
