the cab is a 49.2. what youy are calling an angled piece is not metal, its rubber, still (reasonably) flexible after all these years.

its a seal, mr48 gave the link, the original ones are grey/white, which has faded and looks like steel now. see how the color of the seal matches the windlace color?

the steel piece of yours you say is short is a horizontal retainer for the vertical seal and I suppose also covers the rubber floor edges. but the rubber floor only goes halfway back so i suppose calling it the seal retainer is more correct. the reason there is a 50+ part listed is because the windlace changed in 49.5, so a different retainer was used for the 47-49.1 trucks.
