Just bought my first pickup truck

My first post here too.
I'm new to trucks, I've owned 2 Suburbans (an 89 GMC Suburban, lasted well over 300,000 miles, had to retire it due to rust damage, and a 91 Chevy Suburban Silverado that will soon be restored to better then new condition). I bought a 1986 GMS Sierra Classic 3 days ago. The body and paint are in great shape, and I only paid $1500 for it. The engine is a 305 with that POS CCQ-jet and backed by a TH400. Those will be replaced by the 89 Sub's rebuilt 355 and 700R4. Interior needs help, but most of it seems interchangable with the 89 Subs interior, which is actually like new (odd for a 300,000 mile truck).

Pics and more info to come soon!

welcome from NWFL and a 4 time truck owner (3 of them GM trucks)...
suburbans are nice for alot of things but when yuo have a truck it just feels like the road opens up (or maybe thats the traffic getting out of your way)and the pedal feels a bit easier to push with the open road (maybe a spring came loose?)
welcome
