Is this much of the frame the same on all?

A friend called me and asked if I had a chunk of the frame with the frame horns on it. Someone he knows wants it for a Blazer. I told him I do have a chunk but no idea if it works on a Blazer. I borrowed this pic from a board member to show what I was talking about.

Is this much of the frame the same on all of our trucks? Maybe different holes for 2wheel bumpers vs 4wheel bumpers ... I really have zero idea. Before I go out and rummage through all my good stuff (junk) figured I would ask here first.

Don't quote me, but a 67 frame where the PS bolts up is a little different. I've never added PS to a 67, but I think you need spacers or something. I have a 69 and 72 frame and the horns are alike.

4wd frames have about 1" more rise over the front end, but they all end up at the same point, at least, by the time it gets to the core support mounts. Core supports and sheet metal is all the same. We had researched and managed to find GM profile drawings on both when a friend wanted to convert a panel truck to 4wd. Unfortunately, those were lost in a computer crash years ago. Just not sure if they get back inline by that crossmember.

Special-k you are right, I never noticed the difference until you pointed it out. Here is a good shot of my 69 4x4 frame drivers side horn. It does look like it catches up at the core support. I now know why these bumper brackets are so scarce.

I 'believe' they get the same at that crossmember. Isn't that crossmember the same on all frames?

If you look at the picture in th op's 1st post, and compare it to mine, it looks like it steps up right before the core mounts. As far as x members, pretty sure you can go all the way to 87 with very little mods.
