Front cross member

Does anyone know if the cross member for the steering on an '80s van will work on our trucks? I'm removing the engine from an '88 van for my truck, (mine threw a rod). I thought while I have both engines out, I could also change out the cross members, for the disc brake setup. That's if it would fit.

I just put a 79 suburban front cross member in my 68. It fit like a glove. Almost all the holes lined right up. I only had to drill one new hole. I dont know if it would be the same from a 88 van. Hope this helps
