Re: A real nice truck…
We found a 68 parts donor truck today and bought it, good grill and front bumper and seat. Fortunately the winch is bolted on not welded, the only thing cobbled up is the grill…I think.

Re: A real nice truck…
That winch appears to be an old Warn/Bellview, predecessor to the Warn 8274

Re: A real nice truck…
Looks like a warn 5721. A good winch but parts are pretty much NLA. My truck had one on it when I bought it. I completely went through it but it really didnt need much more than cleaning and resealing. No power out, but it is fast. I like it for the cool old school look.
If you search for warn M8000 you’ll probably find PDFs of this manual which also covers the 5721.

Re: A real nice truck…
I kinda like the winch! I can't wait to see that ol' girl back on the road. Great find.

Re: A real nice truck…
What a score!
A couple weeks ago I looked at a K-20 LWB step-side, but was heartbroken at what I saw. The only usable sheet metal on it is the bed/fenders, and maybe the frame/drive train. |

Re: A real nice truck…
You have good taste Jocko, both look great! I noticed another bonus to the green '68 4x4, it has hard to find 16" wheels!
