Truck with new sound......

Getting ready to walk down and get my truck. Had been having trouble with fumes and heat getting into the cab through the sliding glass window with my Supertrapps. So last week I had a pair of Flowmasters w/turndowns put on to see if that helped. Well, it cured it and I hate Flowmasters so I am having a pair of Flow Pros and a crossover put on today...all 3 inch. Hope this is to my liking. Always liked the Trapps but cant take the fumes any longer. Wish me luck because this is getting expensive. Next will be a different intake!!!!!!!!!!

What intake are you gonna use?
One day I'm gonna drive over to your side of MO and see that truck in Person!

Its worth the trip. It is a sweet truck. Were the Flowmasters too loud? Or just didnt like the sound? ( I ask since I am interested)

ACES I will be over your way in another month or so. All Truck Nationals and maybe the Goodguys. I'm going to the polished Performer. The air gap RPM is a little much for my truck.

Custom 68 the Flows are way quieter than the Trapps. The Flow Pros sound like a little deeper sounding Flow. I have all the pipes to put the Trapps back on if I want.

Hey Mudder, I just had my exhaust sys. installed a couple weeks ago 2 1/2" into an "X" system into a pair of Flowpro mufflers and then straight out the back (all aluminized pipe with nice mandrel bends) and I love it. It sounds great but I would not want it any louder. Regards Doug

Hey Mudder, why do you think the air gap is too much? No low end? Too high of gear with tall tires? Just wondering, would possibly be interested if you want to sell it.
Thanks, Gord

At 1000 it falls on its face if you try to just smash the petal. If you take it slow its ok. Have had two different carbs and got into the distibutor. Same thing. If the rpm's are up around 2 grand its just fine.

I will be selling it.

Yeah, the Performer RPM is about all that my 350 wants. It's got a healthy cam and an Edelbrock 1406, but I'm sure an air gap would be a little too much.

Mudder I would be interested in the Air Gap if no one else is. I have been wanting one for my truck. I think I need a little more intake myself. 2101 Performer is what I got now. Let me know. And the Pure and Simple car show is Aug.7,2004 at Lions Club Park in Rolla. Come one come all!
