So many strange add ons to this 71 Blazer

Any clues what this could be for?

Have been looking at your picture for a minute now trying to figure out what it is that you were asking for info about but your setup sure looks like the standard OE accelerator pedal setup used in 71. Your pictured gas pedal assy is not the manual throttle control style setup, here are a few of our saved folder files showing the two optional RPO K31 manual throttle accelerator cable style pedal setups used in 1971 and 1972. Note the LH differences between your pedal rod and the pedal rod on 71 manual throttle setup. Mel
