Steering column Gear indicator pointer
As usual, fixing one problem leads to another one. After moving my steering column forward 1 inch, my column-mount tach hits the gear indicator pointer. I see where the pointer is available for tilt and non-tilt. Looks like the tilt version is a little shorter, but is it really? And can anyone confirm it will fit my non-tilt column?

I believe they are very different and do not interchange.

Think I'll have to go with a smaller tach. My current one is 3-3/4" diameter. Looking at a 2-3/4" diameter tach that is 1" shallower.

with the other two that posted above, the three 67-72 automatic column shift indicator pointers were year specific and by design not interchangeable. Since you really can't tell by the catalog pics & diagrams, here are a couple real part Id pics showing the side by side differences and comparison of size/scale. Mel
