How dark should I tint my side windows??
I already have the rear window tinted 2½%...I was thinking of doing 5% on the sides. I want it DARK inside my truck. Also, because it's summer now, and I don't have AC in the truck, so I need SOMETHING to keep it cool. What do yall have?
Also, how hard was it to tint the vent windows? |

I've got 5% all around on the Blazer and it's not too dark you cant see out of. The truck is around 15% all around and it seems darker. Having it too dark is a major pain in the butt, I have to roll the windows down to park in my explorer at night because I cant see anything (5% also)

We can only have 50% on the sides and 20% on the back here. It really sucks. I just helped a friend of mine put 5% on his sides and 3 days later.....BAM ticket for illegal tint to the tune of $182....LOL

It's 20% back and 35% sides here in AR. If you have rear sides like on a blazer or crew cab, you can go 20% there too. I've had friends that the cops have had pull the tint off on the side of the road at the time they were pulled over, so the window swap probably wouldn't work around here.

They just revoked the tint laws here in GA.
Personnaly I am doing the Burb 20% on all the rears and 35% on the for door glass. I'm old and need to see as much as possible.

get a film that reflects the heat, just darkness isn't the trick.
case in point, I drove a 2001 chevy 1500 that had factory tint 1/2 less as dark as mine, and you could feel the difference. If heat is not your concern, you just want dark, I agree with N2TRUX grab some black spray paint and get busy ps, dont forget the clear coat Last edited by Nvbowtie; 07-23-2004 at 04:15 AM. |
