I have a clean set of 1968 C10 fenders and I need to block the side lights as they are going on a 1967 C10. I know someone on this site makes these plates

By doing it that way, you'll still see it from the inside. That's fine if it doesn't bother you. I've done it a few times and I just completely cut out the marker light bezel and butt welded a patch in a very thin coat of filler on both sides and the marker light is history.
