Mirrors for 1972 C20

Wondering if any one has used this mirror from Napa with success? I am worried that the dimensions might not line up with the holes that are all ready in my door (9" top to bottom, 7" across the bottom). Hoping to find the right mirrors to reuse these existing holes, preferably from NAPA or some originals.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Re: Mirrors for 1972 C20

If you look at the photo selection from the Napa ad, you will see that the lower dimension across the bottom is 10" and the top to bottom dim is (after some math) 4.45". So, it's not going to just bolt up to your existing holes...unless...

you consider bending the lower legs in to get to the 7" you need and then bend the upper leg or fabricate a new one to suit the upper hole's location. It looks like an easy piece to make.

I used the elbow only as the studs broke in my originals. They were different by a 1/4 but work fine. They are not solid like the originals but seem fine to me

Not trying to side track or go off topic. You’ve probably had them before but I’ll mention it. Just FYI I had those mirrors before and couldn’t stand how much they shook/vibrated. Idk if maybe the rubber was worn out but they were tight and still did it. Mine were only a year or two old. You couldn’t even tell what was in the mirror when driving. Similar but not as bad in another truck My buddy has.

I won’t be going back with that type. Just my experience. Good luck
