47-55.1 Hood latch

Mine is installed just like this one. You can see the flat part of the spring if you look closely.

Thank! Perfect…do you have any idea how the repro ones are attached?they look totally different

No I don't. I used the kit you have in your first post to attach my stock latch.

It looks like that new latch has angled tabs. I wonder if you're supposed to flatten the tabs on he hood and bolt the new latch to it? Seems like a bad idea if so.

Exactly what i thought, it didnt make sense..
