I bought a DeWitts radiator. Supply and return are on the same side.

Re: Proform Radiator Review Opinions ???

Attachment 2159740I did the same (DeWitts radiator)
It fit the brackets perfectly.
Looks fantastic. I purchased mine with the baked on black finish. I like it better than the aluminum look, i.e. closer to stock looking.
Comes with the relays and two fans. And an over the top radiator cap.
I'm assuming you are doing a LSX conversion but they make both radiators.
Pricey but I have never regretted the purchase.

Re: Proform Radiator Review Opinions ???

A typical LS swap radiator will have the inlet and outlet on the passenger side of the radiator. Makes radiator hoses much easier.
On my 68 C10 swap I ran a Afco LS swap radiator. Biggest I could fit with a single 16 Spal puller fan. It never even came close to overheating. ECM controlled the fan. On at 205 and off at 195. 180 degree thermostat.
I'm a big fan of the biggest radiator you can fit.
I would check over on LS1tech.com for their reviews of the Proform radiator.
Not a great pic but its all I have.

Re: Proform Radiator Review Opinions ???

Tom Dewitt sold out to AFCO in 2015. Tom stayed on through 2020. AFCO owns others (Dynatech, Pro Shocks, to name a couple) that make parts offshore. Anyone want to take a guess how long it will be before AFCO offshores Dewitts radiators too?

This thread reminded me I needed to order a new radiator. I check prices before Christmas and it was the same from DeWitt as Summit . Just summit beat them with free shipping today Dewitt is $170 more even before shipping .

So I ordered from Summit today before their price goes up . Being drop shipped from Dewitts .

I cant find anything on Dewitts selling out

Re: Proform Radiator Review Opinions ???

I have watched so many companies sacrifice quality for price. I, for one, hope the company stays here in the US. If not they might be like all the others. Service and quality is what separated them for the rest of the group. BTW I purchased my Dewitt from Summit also.
I have two of them and they both fit and look perfect. The import I ordered, and returned, was listed for the C10 and it didn't even match up the factory clamps. They just marketed what they had "as fitting." I see DeWitts Radiator sold to Afco Performance Group in 2015 and Tom stayed on for an additional five years. His quote "The company is in good hands." Hopefully it will stay that way.

Yeah, I didn't state it was recent. I stated it was 2015, and Tom retired in 2020. Surely they wouldn't offshore while Tom was still around, but now that he is gone, we'll see. Offshoring during the China Virus, and the issues with supply chains, probably isn't easy.
