silverado seat
I had a 98 Silverado seat covered and installed in my 67. Looks fantastic and is really comfy. Only problem is it sits too high up. I have seen where guys have taken a 1.5" section out of stock Silverado seat brackets which is what I want to do. I can't figure out where to make the cuts. Any suggestions? Pictures?

Re: silverado seat
I'm in on this too. I have a 92 truck seat I'm in the process of doing the same thing with. I will probably just stary cutting and see how it turns out.
Honestly with how well the seats fit this truck and how common a swap it seems to be I'm surprised no one has produced seat brackets to sell. |

Re: silverado seat
Someone cut these down. Looks like the cut a section out and then re-welded it to the flat part of the tracks. Hope this helps a little.

Re: silverado seat
The modified tracks that TKCR posted are for late models seats (88-98 thereabouts) to be put into the 73-87 trucks. I had a 60/40 set of the 88-98 seats in my 72 while it was being redone and it was not too high for me, but maybe a little. I did not use them in my 72, but if someone wanted to lower them a bit, it would not be near as much as the ones photo'd above.
I'm talking about the tracks below. Do your tracks look like this?...
