new header question
I just installed coated headers. When I am checking the collectors for leaks and I am under the truck and it is revved up both collectors make a pingging sound what I would think was a leak. But I can feel no real air leak with my hands? Do headers make this sound more so than manifolds? I can only hear it when under truck? Thanks.

ya, they are a little more noisy b/c they are made of thinner material. When you have a leak, you will definately hear it in the truck. Did you use the aluminumn collector gaskets? When you have to change them, use those they are work the extra $$$.

It shouldnt, just dont drive it much. I went through many a paper gasket before the aluminumn ones came out (or I found them). For some of that time the '78 was my daily. I would not go much more than a day with a leak though b/c the noise will just drive you crazy.
Sorry I can't help with your other problems. I would call dynomax and see what they say about it.
