steering column

how do you pull the steering column apart?got it down to all the bolts are out
but can't get the tumbler out,to pull the thing apart.see what i'm trying to do is use one column to fix another.my tilt is wore out and the other tilt is good.so thats why i need help on tearing the other column apart so i can use the tilt part on my steering column.all help is really apreceated.
