Stepside fenders

Does anyone have any info on the figment of the repop stepside fenders? With not being able to find a decent set looks like I’m gonna bite the bullet and buy a set.

Re: Stepside fenders

I have one on my truck and it fits fine. The step side fender to me is not as critical as lets say a front fender or door. It just bolts on to a flat panel. On mine I didn't have to slot any holes or anything.

Sweet. Thanks. Can’t find a good set anywhere. Gonna try greens in Cameron Tx and outback truck parts for them and then If nothing, looks like I’m ordering a set.

Re: Stepside fenders

Perfect timing just bought a set off Market place 900 never been bolted on. Picking up Sat morning. I have heard they fit up good also. Hard to find a set here without the mounting flange not rotted all away.

I had a guy that was pretty local to me… drove by his place and saw the entire bed sitting there. Now I’m of knocking anyones work by any means. He said the bed was solid and needed nothing. Wanted me to trade my holley 20-185bk front runner kit for it. Was gonna throw in a set of new bumpers too. I said wth and I’ll go look at it.

I get there and the tailgate looks like a lays chip, stale pockets are bondo everywhere and the lip has been cut off and a piece of angle put in its place. Not only that, the bed floor was a piece of plate welded in missing all the sills. The bumpers had chrome peeling on the backside from being buried in the dirt. Respectfully told him that I wasn’t gonna trade my new front runner kit ($2200) for a bed that I’m gonna have to put tons of money and time into. Told him I might just end up buying repops. His words… those fit like ass and nothing lines up. They’re worse that the front fenders. I’d just work with what you got here and use there. Nothing a little fiberglass can’t fix.

No thank you. Hence my question. Anyone got a pic? Installed?

I heard Mar-K is the best for step side replacements for what it's worth!

Hanger holes wouldn't line up with step holes where bottom of step lays on hanger.

So just mounting hole issues? Body line and contours are good? Drilling another hole or widening one isn’t that big of a deal. Mounting To the bedside there is no issues?

Just widening the holes on step bracket but thats hidden anyways. Besides that no issues. Like someone else said MAR-K is pretty quality stuff.

Re: Stepside fenders

Build your bed from Mar-K parts.
There tailgates are better than NOS.
I’ve seen them in person.

Re: Stepside fenders

This is my aftermarket fender with original bedside and original step. Best I can do for a picture. Literally zero problems with mine. No bracket problens, no stretching holes. Just bolted right on.

I have had the fender for several years so I do not recall what brand it is.

He wanted the holley front runner. Thing is 2200 bucks. I just didn’t know if it was gonna be a hassle like the front ends.

Re: Stepside fenders

I bought a set from LMC for my '67....they look great...marker hole was covered already...
I think they are APEC brand
The only issue I had was the radius in the bottom corner didn't match the radius in the corner of the step where they meet...
I was able to just grind of the excess metal where it was folded over and weld it up..
Here they are after painting
