Tach cluster
Can anyone tell me if this cluster and bezel is original? Or maybe you can tell if some parts on it are original and some are not.
I got it in a bundle of parts I bought recently. I’m keeping some parts and going to be selling a few that I don’t need. The cluster seems a little too clean to me to be factory, but I’ll defer to the experts on here. Thanks Vinnie |

Re: Tach cluster
Looks like a nice clean original, possibly from a blazer with a manual throttle hole.

Re: Tach cluster
Thank for the input.
It was pulled from a blazer. At least that’s what the seller told me. |

Re: Tach cluster
The tailgate band that came with the lot of parts from the blazer seemed a little too clean to me to be original also. I’m going to put that in a separate thread to see if I can get some input on it’s original or aftermarket status.

Re: Tach cluster
Could it be from a C-50 or bigger truck?
I know they’re very similar, but the the collar around the Steering column is a little different. I’m sure one of the experts will clear this up. |

No, the cutout for the column would only be about half that deep if it was out of a big truck. LockDoc

Re: Tach cluster
Thanks to all for the input. All the parts I got in the lot were from supposedly from a K5 blazer.

Re: Tach cluster
Well it looked way to clean to be 50 years old BUT here's an NOS circuit with the same part #

Re: Tach cluster
I was told if it’s a factory setup, it would be worth $250 - $300.
Dos that sound right? I’m going to be looking for value to trade for parts. Thanks |

Re: Tach cluster
An equivalent reproduction tach gauge cluster sells for $555. Personally, I'd much rather have a super clean original like yours. The only downside I see is the throttle hole in your bezel, although some people may want that. One other thing is your gauges are currently untested, so the condition is unknown

Re: Tach cluster
Thank you.
One of the members here lives somewhat close to me and has expressed interest in the gauges and bezel. He said his truck has the manual throttle so it would work well for him. I was thinking the same thing about the working condition of the gauges. Personally I would rather have an original part than repop, but obviously the condition would play a big part as to how much I’d be willing to pay for it. |
