Thinking of trading SWB 4x4 for Blazer 4x4

I have been thinking about getting rid of my 1971 SWB 4x4 and getting a Blazer. It seems like everytime we want to go somewhere we have to take the Saturn because the pickup doesn't have enough passenger room.

I am not sure if I will have any luck with this but would anyone be interested in a trade?

My 71 has never been restored. It has some rust but overall is a solid truck. It was a Montana truck until 2 years ago.
150,000 miles
350/sm465/205
3:08's, no posi
later style 8 inch ralley wheels
rear rollpan with a receiver hitch behind the license plate
engine was rebuilt about 40,000 miles ago
99 chevy pickup seats 40/20/40
metal bed
tach/vacuum
p/s
p/b

Here is what I have done in the past 5,000 miles:
new radiator
100 amp internally regulated alternator
new brakes
Hella H4 headlights
battery
water pump

Here are the used parts that I have that would go with the pickup if I got a Blazer in great shape:
nice factory AM/FM
nice pair of doors
nice pair of fenders
nice hood
nice AC dash
rebuildable tilt (have all 3 new bearings uninstalled)
factory tow hooks
chrome factory tinted vent windows
factory tinted side glass
factory AC parts including inner and outer boxes, controls, and vents
original bench seat
rebuildable HEI distributor

Here are the new parts that I have that would go with the pickup if I got a Blazer in great shape:
NOS inner and outer grill
NOS weatherstripping
tinted rear slider
NOS windshield rubber
rocker panels
dash pad
dash bezel

If I end up selling the truck and buying a Blazer none of the parts would go with, in case I purchased a Blazer and needed the parts. In addition none of these parts are for sale seperately

Here is what I am looking for in a Blazer:
factory A/C
great body with newer paint, or great body ready for paint
prefer 71 or 72
whatever options the SWB has that the Blazer doesn't I would keep for the Blazer

Obviously if the Blazer is in better shape than my pickup I would be willing to trade the truck plus cash.

Since this a "trade" post I am not going to post a price.

If I don't trade I may be willing to sell the pickup but I will not do that for at least a month. If I do I will post it on the board before anywhere else.

Shawn

The passengers cab corner has rust. The doors have rust, but the extra ones that I have don't have any. There is some in the passenger's side fender but I have used fenders that are in great shape. The bed has two small rust spots in each corner in the rear. The inner rockers have some rust, but the outer's are still pretty good. I was planning to replace them anyway.
I have a web page but I am adding a page to highlight the rust and dents with pictures. I will post a link as soon as I have it somewhat finished.

Blazer

jamie72 makes a great point...
Here's an option, I also have a 71 blazer project I'm selling. Buy the project for way less money and keep your truck.
The project blazer is complete other than motor. You could get either a 4spd or an auto with it, I have both. Non A/C though. Very little rust.
Project blazer: 71-CST-4x4-205-4" lift-3:08's-alloy's w/33's

Man, if I could afford it, I'd be all over that truck. We saw it in person and it's definately a survivor!! Very solid and dependable. You don't see to many unsrestored SWB Fleetside 4x4's in this nice of shape anymore
