What's this dial for?
Can someone tell me what this dial is for? It was not connected to anything when I removed the dash.
Thanks 1969 c10 |

Re: What's this dial for?
That dial is for the speed warning indicator in the speedometer. Turn the dial to a specific speed and when it hits that speed a buzzer under the dash sounds. I believe it was 67 and 68 only option

I believe it is part of your optional Speed Minder speedometer. The knob is supposed to move the second needle on the speedometer.(Yours is pointing to 55 MPH) Here is a link to one of many posts on them. It's supposed to warn you if you exceed the set mph. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=693557 For more information type Speed Minder in the search box above and click 67-72 button. And welcome aboard. __________________ Thanks to Bob and Jeanie and everyone else at Superior Performance for all their great help. 1967 Burban the WMB,1991 S(stink)-10 Blazer,1969 GTO, 1970 Javelin, 1952 F3 Ford 4X4, 29 Model A, 72 Firebird. 85 Alfa Romeo If it breaks I didn't want it in the first place The WMB http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=698377 |

Re: What's this dial for?
I have that option in my 63 Grand Prix and the knob looks the same. Mounted under the dash.
