Interesting. Mine is not lockable. Does it use the door or ignition key? Do you have AC?

Pretty sure it’s the door key. Now if anyone has changed their door locks, or glove box lock, then the cylinder needs rekeyed. If I get a chance today, I’ll check mine.

Re: Was there an option for a lockable glovebox?

Door key locks glove box. I changed mine over to a lockable one, but it was not easy.

LMC sells the knob with key slot that can be installed into the current latch, but the key will not match the doors unless you have it rekeyed by a locksmith.

Getting the knob/insert out of the latch is a BEAR. Watch a lot of YouTube videos and you should be able to do it. The "KEY" is patience. :-)

The YouTube video is a must to watch! It was much easier after watching it. I needed to get the lock out so I could paint the glove box. My ashtray & glove box didn’t match the dash. It does now!

Were you able to get the LMC locking knob rekeyed by the locksmith to match your door key?
