Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
Here's a good thread about restoring a 60-66 cluster. Looks as though the housings were the same color as the 67-72's. The member used the same Krylon Satin Jade spray paint.

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
That paint is not listed on the Krylon web site. Any other ideas on the light and dark green colors. I'll be going to the local hardware store tomorrow to look at there paint chips.

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
My idea is to use chrome spray can paint, it looks really nice on parts I have painted with it. It doesn't look mirror reflective like chrome metal, but it is very shiny. You can use green colored 194 bulbs, or white bulbs with green bulb covers.

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
I just looked at LMC and they don't carry gauge decals anymore, any suggestions on where to find them? Thanks for the responses, any other good ideas?

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
I don't have any experience with them, but forum members have mentioned whitegauges.net before. They don't have just white, they have other colors.

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
I have not ever used or wanted to redo it back to the green myself. I have used Krylon gloss white or Krylon Chrome paint to redo the tins. Makes a HUGE difference in the light reflection.
That green does look pretty close though to keep it original looking.

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
Now all I have to do is find a Krylon dealer that has satin jade in stock. My Wal Mart had maybe 3 cans of Krylon. and you can forget about anything other than black or white. Going to look at Hobby Lobby on Sat.

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
Have you tried to buy any of it online since it isn't available locally?

Re: Green paint for the gauge cluster
I'll try TSC tomorrow, since I have to drive right by it. It's only 45 min. from my house.
