Ac Bracket question
Hey guys, I am putting my ac system back on after a head swap. When I removed the ac compressor brackets, there were 2 home made looking round spacers. They were sandwiched between the intake and ac compressor brackets. Are those spacers original or should the bracket sit flat on the intake?
I circled the bolts I’m talking about. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Ac Bracket question
This is only picture I have, but this is the factory AC on my 70. Looks like maybe yours was pieced together from some other stuff, but hard to say.

Re: Ac Bracket question
There were usually studs for bracket stacking and the head of the stud was the spacer

Re: Ac Bracket question
Is your truck a '69? I don't recall a thread that discusses the different A/C brackets used over the years. Yours appear to be the same early version used on my early '69. I believe the brackets were changed during the '69 model year or 1970.
The pictures below are of the originals on my '69. They MAY answer your question.
