heres some questions
#1-how much timing does a stock 305 in a 1983 long box have 700R4 trany, 2.73 10 bolt, a/c, light duty brakes, 2WD, non CA, is there anymore info needed on the truck?
#2-does anyone know how much the stock bench weighs and stock lowback buckets out of say a 'burb? #3-what is a stock 10bolt with 2.73s worth? thanks for anyhelp

Timing id say about 6 or 8 no telling on the wieght difference.
The rearend has to be worth at least 3.50 per 100 pounds at least thats what short iron is going for around here |

so then my rear end is worth 5 bucks? i can sell the drums off of it for more than that...i hope

#3. I paid $100 for one last year, but it had a reasonably good door & ~$30 worth of scrap metal attached to it.

I would say the rearend is worth about $100 around here.

around here that rear end would qualify as a boat anchor. its not really worth anything IMO. if it was posi or 4 series you might be able to get something for it. but the open 3 series are a dime a dozen, almost all of these trucks have them and i can't imagine why someone would want to buy another one

yeah im thinking im going to stick with the bench...it comes in handy...like when hauling more than 2 people...
