A/C Question

Anyone know how to change the high side valve on a 98 Tahoe? Mine is leaking and I don't see how it can be tightened or changed out.

If we are thinking of the same part it can be changed. It is s lot like a valve stem on a tire.

Unfortunately, the high side is not a schrader valve (what is used on tires). The low side is a schrader, the high side is not. Looks like it has a rubber ball on a spring that seats against the aluminum housing to seal it. I don't see a way to remove this valve.

All you need to do is go to a major auto parts store and buy an adapter/extension. it comes with its own valve, therefore fixing leak.
