So here is my question, and maybe your wife can help me find this answer. I have 72 C10, and was reading about the inspections for different types of vehicles. Passenger, trucks, antiques, street rods, and CUSTOM vehicles. Street rods do not require bumpers, but must be 1949 or older, Custom vehicles must be 40 years old or older, and state there are modifications to body and chassis that are away from the manufactured state. My truck does not have bumpers but have front and rear roll pan instead. I am told this will fail inspection, but if it was registered as custom vehicle, could I get away with just roll pans? THOUGHTS? I really don't want to buy bumpers right now just to be able to drive it around from time to time. Any help is appreciated. Jeff |

But yeah, Id appreciate any help you or anyone else can give. Also, if you knew a local place I could get a used bumper and brackets, cause a new set for everything from LMC is a little over $400. Not wanting to spend that right now, but really want to drive some this spring summer. |

Re: Any one here from NH???
I am in NH too but have no idea about the inspection question. Unfortunately I also sold my truck but if there is a get together, would love to meet. If you are in Bedford (I am in New Boston) in the summer, you should stop by Murphy's Tap House on 101 on Sunday afternoon. They have a nice, small cruise in there. Very casual and lots of nice cars and trucks!

Re: Any one here from NH???
I believe I have after market bumper brackets front and possibly rears also, but no bumpers.

Re: Any one here from NH???
My fiance is familiar with registration regs not inspection regs, so she couldn't answer it.
The guy down the street from me said he has never had any issues inspecting a vehicle like yours ( I sent him the picture ) a regular registration bring it to him and he would give you a sticker, As long as everything else passed. That's not to say every inspection station would give you a sticker you might have to find the right one ..... Gary

Re: Any one here from NH???
I am from NH as well, i know of trucks with roll pans that get inspected with regular plates. I would just ask the inspection staition before you bring it to them, there are plenty that will pass it. you would not get harrassed from DOT for roll pan bumpers.

61 main st.
Sandown nh 03873 His name is Arttie. He does the Garage semi-full time. He's the towns road agent & he's into racing with his kids. So you'll need to contact him and make an appointment. If you have a hard time getting him I have his cellphone number, but try the business number 1st. Gary

Re: Any one here from NH???
Found the fronts, new aftermarket, mounted but never used.
Got them in a traded deal. $50 picked up.
