Alternator wire
Can anybody take a look at their alternator (stock) 1971 or 72 for me?
What I am doing is lengthening my harness. I failed to label these when I pulled the six out. I am reusing the same alt on this motor. The harness has the hot wire and the two with the plug. No issues there. BUT, there is a heavier black wire with them. I think it was grounded to the case of the alternator. Is that correct? All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Alternator wire
Yup. 12 Ga black wire attaches to the case.

Re: Alternator wire
Thank you sir. I was pretty sure, but it is bare on the end and I do think I remember it being under a bolt head. I will add the proper stakon and put it back where it goes.
