The last time that I transported a vehicle, I went through the Hemmings motor news and contacted about 50 transporters for Quotes and information. I ended up usuing Mellin Transporting. Although you will find that there are transporters and brokers, (brokers subcontract to transporters) A private transporter is usually a little cheaper.Mellin is a broker. The reason I chose them was because I felt very confident with the way that they run their company and had no problems. The truck arrived a day late, which you will find is very good. Many will make promises to get your deposit and then ship when they get to it. Remember, this is only a business to them.
Mellin, being a broker has delt with alot of the transporters and has learned to weed out the "unreliables". They also offer all kinds of transporting, enclosed or open and can hook you up with the service that suits you the best. They also followed up with a phonecall to get my opinion of the service so that if it didnt work well, they wanted to know so that they would not allow pickup by those shippers anymore. They also sent me the transporters insurance policy copy before they shipped. I think that it is also a good Idea to call your own insurance company and put a full coverage policy on the vehicle, then cancle when it arrives, to cover unknown damage or theft.I cant make any promises about Mellin transport for your shippment, but I was very pleased.
Like you, us Easterners know the value of dry climate vehicles. I have transported from DFW , California, Oregon dessert and Las Vegas. I was most Pleased with Mellin Transport.
It has been my experience that I couldn't take off work and transport, along with expenses, even owning my own equipment,as cheap as a transport company.
I wish you all the best luck. I saw the posts of the truck that you are purchasing and it looks like a fantastic deal.
Transporting can be tricky and they never make it on time; alot of patience is needed to bring you new baby back safely.
John

Hey, I understand wanting to get something done, and doing whatever it takes to do so, I myself cannot fault you in doing so,
but with being new I am not well versed in how things go around here,
I think I would've done the same myself, I know I would be stressing out trying to get a vehicle home after buying it,

It doesnt set well with me when you make a big deal over a post being closed for cross positing and basicly spamming, there are proper boards for everytype of post, not so you can advertise your post over every single board. If someone is looking for something they will check the parts board, otherwise your thread is a waste of space and considered rude. Cross posting is a cheap trick used by spammers and is frowned upon heavily on most sites.

and btw I DO have a name, it is Josh, not "master", follow the rules and you wont have to worry bout somethign not sitting well with me.
