Made some major progress the past couple of days. My photo bucket is messing up and won't let me post pictures. I'll definitely get some up ASAP. I lifted the tub and have it on it's side on stands now.

Next on the chopping block. I cut out my passenger rocker box to inspect the front cab support and they are shot. I will have work to do in this area on both sides. In the process, I will be brain storming custom rocker boxs. I don't care for the original design. I remembered seeing a picture on here a couple years back of some made of 1 inch square tubing that I really liked. My try that route. Waiting on parts now

Ok, I fell on top of a great deal today! Playing around on FB market place, I found a complete pickup floor pan with all the supports. It was new. Needless to say I made the drive and brought it home this evening. My floor isn't in terrible condition but I like the idea of new everything much better in that area. So let's add a full front floor pan to the "to do" list as well �� Update pictures to come!

Next I'm going to set the tub on the frame I have ready to go and will start on the new bedsides. We picked them up last week and I'm excited to get past the next step. Only reason we painted the fire wall so early in the game is because when it is set on the new frame I don't want to paint around the motor. More pics to come soon.

Lot of good work going on there. I almost wish I would have just gotten a complete front floor pan as well. I ended up just doing new floorboards only.

Chulisohombre- Thank you! I was as well on the fence about patching it. But modification to the pickup floor wasn't to bad. I was nervous about doing it at first but with good support the fire wall didn't move one bit and everything went smoothly. Planning on sand blasting the bed floor on some saw horses outside soon if everything goes well

The amount of extra little patches under it were the bigger issue. The support was rotted a bit and had to reinforce the seat belt mounts as well. I didn’t trust the replacement piece so I reused the stock piece of floor around the seat belt area. Surprisingly that was still in good shape upbyo the raised bed piece. I just had to patch the area around the seat mount jumps because the previous owner put in aftermarket seats but just welded angle iron into the floor instead of making it unblotable in the stock spots.

Nice work on the floor pan. I like the 503 paint, I'm slowly heading in that direction. What kind of paint is it? I was thinking acrylic enamel on my firewall but I'm not sure...

Back at it

Doing some fitting on the drivers side. Picture of my dad -Heinz helping me hang the door for a test fit. The rocker box fought me pretty good. I did have a slightly larger gap where the top of the door meets the quarter. I did shim the body mounts up in this area so the top would rest flat all the way down the quarters when it was loose.. so I’m debating taking the shims out now? But all else was good. I’m ready to seal the deal and weld everything in on the drivers side. Hopefully move to the passengers side tomorrow.
