Has anyone bought these panels?

Has anyone purchased these door panels? If so I'd like to ask you about the quality There's several companies selling door panels for these trucks, but reading the reviews, most of the time people say the quality is mediocre. Sometimes it's a bit less than mediocre, but they just made it work. Because they were better than the ruined door panels they replaced. But I hadn't heard anything about these. I live in the south where heat and the sun will destroy an interior over time. And my panels are warped and wavy.

I do have those. And I love them!
Had them for several years now. I did go thru a couple sets from LMC prior to these. So far they have been a good purchase.

Re: Has anyone bought these panels?

I'm about to order a set myself. I won't need them for about 6 months but I heard that's roughly their lead time these days.

It took 4 months for mine, and that was before 2019/2020. So yes, you should order now.

It will be worth the wait. Just expect the wait time to be a bit longer than 6 months. They are gettin the orders out, it’s just taking awhile to keep up with the amount of orders.
Some people had made the mistake of canceling their order, only to turn around and reorder. Don’t do that, because that will just put you at the back of the line.

Yeah with all that's going on I wouldn't be surprised if it's longer, but they really look like the best around so its ok. At the rate I'm going, I wouldn't be surprised if the paint shop I'm waiting on pushes me out further too. But I look forward to getting these.

Yep, but I don't even pay any attention. It's easy to assume. I mean really, you don't get a whole lot of women that do what I have done with the Squares. It's predominantly men.

Re: Has anyone bought these panels?

I think the women have a good vision of color and design and bringing colors together and making them work. You helped me with trying to bring red and black interior together with what I had which I haven,t finished yet. It,s nice to have a woman,s touch. Glad your here

Would you say that they have the same texture as the stock panels? I'm hoping to find a very similar panel to stock.

Also, was the fitment pretty easy? Or was some modification necessary to get them to fit well?

The texture, I can’t say. I never had original door panels in the truck. I’ve had original door panels since then, that I have restored for people, but I’ve never compared them side by side for texture. Sorry never seen any reason too.
No modifications. I just installed them and they fit very well. If I had to say, these look just as close to original as they can. They are certainly better than the others I had.
And from what I hear, the Velour inserts are just like the originals now.

Do you happen to know if they are making these panels when they're ordered? Perhaps that is why it takes so long to get them once you order them.

There is that, but it’s a combination of things. They literally have thousands of orders, but then only get supplies to do a portion of those orders. And several things have impact their supply. First there was manufacturing issues, then the lockdowns, then the shipping issues, then they all came down with covid. Had to shutdown because of the protocols in place. I mean you name it, it’s happened.

But they don’t, or have ever been able to build ahead, there’s just too many orders to mass produce. Nor would I personally want them too. Then they become like LMC. Most people don’t know this, but USA1 is literally a small company. They are not some big company like some of these other places are.
