Euclid Thread
Have we ever had a Euclid thread here? I don't remember one and I thought it might be a good idea since we like 'em bigger. The old Euclids were General Motors just like a Chevy, too! As a kid I thought a Euclid dump truck was the coolest thing on earth! I don't know much about them, but sure would like to learn. Later on it was Terex

Re: Euclid Thread
Quite an interesting story indeed. Read this:
https://www.constructionequipment.co...-truck-history This is a pretty good book on Euclid: https://www.amazon.com/Euclid-Earthm.../dp/1583881298 GM started developing a range of crawlers (bulldozers) in the early 50's on their own and decided to buy Euclid so as to be able to offer a full range of heavy equipment. Detroit Diesel Division and Allison were also very much involved in the operation, and I think the result kept Caterpillar engineers up nights for many years.

Re: Euclid Thread
Thanks for that reading material. I have read some on Euclids here scattered over time. I'll see if I can get some to soak in. I know GM's Euclid made a lot of innovations and yeah, big brother had the transmissions and engines covered in house.
How about that TC12?
