Need Help! Door Won't Open From Inside....

Hello All,

So my door handle does not open the door from the inside.

From the outside, it opens just fine, and locks just fine.

The handle will go up and down (when I'm sitting there), but the door just won't open.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on what could be the issue? Thank you!

Take a flashlight and see if the inside handle activation rod is connected to the lock.
If it is still there it is likely in the lock mechanism.
If you can't see from the top you will have to pull the door panel for a closer look.

The pull rod probably has disconnected either from the interior handle or the catch mechanism inside the door.

Keep in mind that clip that holds the rod to the handle regulator, is unique depending of LH or RH. Might want to pick up a set from Classic Parts before you tear into your door.

The thing is, it is probably laying in the bottom of the door. I have seen them broken but most of the time they just fall off.

If it did fall off, just take a magnet and fish it out, after you get the door panel off.

Thank you for the inputs. I ordered a spare rod w/clips. I'm hoping if that's the issue, then I'm covered. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something else I need to order.
