Nice find on that truck! It looks very clean for a mid west truck!

It's real solid especially for no more than it cost, was literally 3 miles away too so that's always a plus

Re: It wasn't needed but I brought it home anyways
Definitely been a good while since an update. Put a 327 in this right after getting it and rear main leaked. I have only put about 50 miles on this truck. But the build starts soon. I've gathered all my parts finally.

I believe the truck needed you more than you needed it. Great work and another one out there making folks smile and a driver enjoying it is super.

Re: It wasn't needed but I brought it home anyways
Nice truck to build. Unlike you, I have never ever, not ever, been able to buy one of these with a half way decent tailgate. I walked by a couple of nearly new takeoffs several years ago at a swap meet for north of 500 bucks and scoffed. Now, look at them. Post a couple of pics of the tailgate so we can all be jealous, please.

I dunno...I have a weird mind sometimes. I immediately thought of this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsPh-EgH65M Great find on the truck. Some would say you were lucky to get it but, I am of the school that there is no luck if you don't jump. Good job. |
