Anybody use Brother's seat brackets

I bought a set of Brothers bkts to lower my seat in my 68 cab with a 69-70 seat. The new bkts part # LSB6772 do indeed lower the seat but do not adjust the seat back enough. My gas tank is out of the cab and I have a 3 inch gap between the seat back and the back of the cab.

Now, I am not a tall man, 5'6" and my tilt column is down as far as it can go to the dash.

Anybody use this kit and are you taller and skinny? Thanks, Larry

Re: Anybody use Brother's seat brackets

Was your seat original to your pickup???
I think they make different brackets for different years...maybe...
There are 3 different stock type seat brackets for the 67-72 pickups...
There's a thread all about this...not sure if it will help, though. I will look, later

underneath the flap on the side of the seat where the top meets the bottom is an adjustment to make the top tilt back or forward . those brackets are supposed to be designed to give the full back position that the stock brackets do . an option looks like the brackets have enough to drill some holes further forward on the front

I haven't, but have you considered the custom lowering brackets offered by Full Custom Fabrication? Mine are perfect for me, and the seat is back to the full rear position -

Re: Anybody use Brother's seat brackets

I bought the first set and the slots were cut too short. They sent a 2nd set with longer slots. Installed the seat and like the pictures there is a large gap at the top of the seat. I'm 6' 5" and they are useless as you're actually closer to the wheel and your legs are bent at such an angle it makes using the pedals more difficult. Very unhappy with these and Brothers in general. Going back to stock. By the way when you look at the photo of the seat on their website it is sitting directly on the floor with NO brackets. Sneaky.

Re: Anybody use Brother's seat brackets

I saw those brackets, but my first thought was they would put my feet closer to the pedals, and make the non-tilt steering wheel too high.

Re: Anybody use Brother's seat brackets

I looked at those brackets because once I put new foam and installed a new cover I was almost touching the roof. I ended making my own brackets and they let the seat sit 3 inches lower and slide all the way back.
