67 stepside 4 wheel drive
I have been working on this truck for a long time. about 95 % finished. Its a 67 4 wheel drive stepside with AC. Everything is along original lines including the buddy bucket seats. The drive train is heavy duty, 427 big block,New Venture 4500 5 speed manual, NP 205 transfer case and Dana 60 axles front and back with eaton type posi traction in both. I will get pictures on here as soon as I figure this site out. Still have to finish the AC and heater lines and clean up wiring under hood. Has Vintage air in it and cab is original AC cab from 67.

Re: 67 stepside 4 wheel drive
What a beautiful truck. Now I know what my 2wd 505 green 67 would look as a 4x4. Great job!

Thank You for the comments. I will post some updated pictures on here. It looks a lot better now with off road tires and under the hood finished up.

Re: 67 stepside 4 wheel drive
I will try to put some start to finish pictures on here when I get a chance. I started with just a bare frame and gathered all of the body parts as rust free as I could find them. Did all of the work myself except the final body work and painting. It's basically a brand new 1967 chevy pick up with heavy duty drive train added and 6 inch lift springs all around.
Still need to charge up the AC and install the radio delete plate and a few small odds and ends. |

The colors are a green two tone option from a 1957 Chevy Car. The darker color is Sherwood Green and the lighter is Surf Green.

Re: 67 stepside 4 wheel drive
I finally installed the radio delete plate. Couldn't find the original clips, so I followed someone's suggestion and purchased body molding clips, stainless fender washers and stainless nylon insert locknuts (aircraft nuts) .
The body clips must be 2 1/2 inches across and I purchased them from Classic Industries ( part number A19807) 5 in a pack- you will only need 2 for the job. I will include pictures. Also I put black duct tape on the back edge of the delete plate to prevent it from digging into the paint. |
