If you drive at night and want to keep the dimming function I just cut the glass out of donner mirrors. You can take your temple to the junk yard and find one close enough to pop in or one slightly bigger that can be sanded down. See link below

Leon, I'm pretty certain I have some core mirrors if you don't and you want to build/sell these.
