Fender or grill, what comes first?
I removed my fender, grill and front bumper. When I am ready to reinstall what is the best order to do this in? Pretty obvious the bumper is last just not sure on the fender, grill combo

Re: Fender or grill, what comes first?
Good Question!
My 72 liked to have both the fenders and wheel wells loosely bolted in place, especially at the core support and around the wheel wells, then the grill added to the assembly. Even with the all the slop in the loose bolts...getting the grill in took some effort which was odd since it was the same fenders and grill that came off the truck.

Re: Fender or grill, what comes first?
As mentioned, bolt fenders together loosely, get your gaps straight, add the grill and get it in there , then secure all the fenders and grill down. Then add bumper

Re: Fender or grill, what comes first?
I just did this on a 1970 jimmy and I found it was easier to have one fender bolted in with the bolts to the core support loose and then put the grill in and bolt it to that fender and the center hood latch loosely and then install the other fender. (This didn’t scratch the new paint)
Hopefully your not installing an aftermarket grill and eyebrows like I did because mine took a lot of work to get them to line up |

Re: Fender or grill, what comes first?
Sounds like fender then grill it is! Thank you all. The truck was in an accident and the core support is still slightly bent so hopefully it goes smooth
